Canadian filmfest to host Iranian ‘Cloudy Children’

Iranian ‘Cloudy Children’ is to compete at the Close-up filmfest in Canada.

Iranian short flick ‘Cloudy Children’ has been selected to compete at the 2022 edition of the Close-up Film Festival in Canada.

Directed by Reza Fahimi, the short film narrates the story of two little boys who are arguing over the ownership of things, such as sun or sky, which they can’t even reach.

Also written by Fahimi, the cast list of the short film includes Hossein Sharifi and Milad Taraqqikhah.

A collection of the best Iranian short films are scheduled to be premiered at the festival with the collaboration of Coquitlam Public Library, City Centre Branch in Vancouver.

The screenings will be held on March 12 when Iranians are getting ready to celebrate the New Year.

The Close-up Film Festival includes a Q&A session after screening the films in which filmmakers and audience will discuss their views on films.

It is worth mentioning that the first official international edition of the festival will be held next year.
